At the spring festival in the plant nursery I found an exhibition of the most wonderful quilted treasures. There were such wonderful blankets, cushion covers, table sets, table runners, bags and oven gloves. Most of the motives are flower fairies and you can just see the love that is put into making them. I would have loved to shop a whole load of these wonderful handcrafted goodies, but my budget isn't big enough right now. At least I asked for something useful for Mother's Day - a couple of oven gloves with fairies.

After a long time of blog abstinence I'm going to ramble on about my daily life - like I used to in letters to my penpals - way back in the last century. As I have many international friends, this will be in English. You're welcome! Nach langer Zeit der Blog Abstinenz werde ich über Alltägliches berichten - so wie früher in meinen Briefen an meine Brieffreunde. Da meine Brieffreunde international sind, werde ich auf Englisch schreiben.

Hard choice in the nursery
Right now our garden is lush with flowers blooming again and again every year. That way we have less work and weeds have no chance to grow. Around our pond my husband now wants some more color and we also needed new plants for inside the pond. Luckily only a few plants are happy with little soil, so the choice was a little bit smaller, still - looking around the uncountable number of possibilities for a garden was such fun!

Shopping trip along the river
My husband wanted some new plants to add some color around our little pond. As the nursery was celebrating it's spring festival yesterday, it seemed the perfect day to shop. Our daughter needed our car as she had the longer distance to go for ballett practise, so we enjoyed a lovely shopping trip along the river.
Before we reached the river we passed by the man made lakes with a lovely view to my favorite park on top of the hill.
What we enjoyed in the nursery will be my next blog.

Springtime in the park
These days I'm really grateful once again to work only part time! After finishing my chores yesterday I went to my favorite park once more. Within 5 weeks it has changed so much. Although some trees are still waiting to put out their leaves, most are already wonderful green and the early rhododendron have started to blossom. The whole park is a cloud of yellow and orange, with dots of white and pink. My usual 1 hour walk took me almost two hours because I just had to take plenty of photos.
